Salary Range: $110K- $150K annually

We are seeking an experienced  Director of the Trauma Program to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for trauma services in Fort Walton Beach, Florida .

This senior leadership position is responsible for the overall development, coordination, performance, and continuous improvement of the Trauma Program. The Director will collaborate closely with trauma surgeons, nursing leadership, physicians, hospital executives, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality trauma care and achievement of organizational and program objectives.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished Registered Nurse leader with 10+ years of experience who brings extensive knowledge of trauma care, acute-care hospital operations, quality improvement, regulatory requirements, and multidisciplinary program leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital's Trauma Program.
• Direct the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of trauma services.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, Emergency Services, Critical Care, Nursing, and other departments to ensure coordinated care across the trauma continuum.
• Promote evidence-based practices and high standards for trauma patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Monitor trauma program performance, quality metrics, patient outcomes, and operational indicators.
• Lead performance improvement and patient safety initiatives related to trauma services.
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and patient experience.
• Support trauma program readiness for applicable regulatory reviews, surveys, and accreditation or verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable trauma standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to develop strategies supporting the continued advancement of trauma services.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration, accountability, and effective communication across the trauma care team.
• Support staff education, professional development, and trauma-related clinical competencies.
• Analyze program data and communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to clinical and executive leadership.
• Participate in organizational committees and initiatives related to trauma, emergency care, quality, and patient safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license permitting practice in Florida, including an applicable multistate/Compact RN license.
• Significant experience within an acute-care hospital environment.
• Strong understanding of trauma services, clinical quality, patient safety, and hospital operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and program management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing leaders, executives, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
