About the Opportunity: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping & Receiving Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in our logistics operations, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately processed, properly identified, and efficiently distributed. Location: Newburyport, MA On-Site 100% Responsibilities: Perform all work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines for the assigned task. Perform shipping and receiving activities including packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for transport. Maintain accurate records of materials and transactions in warehouse systems. Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe in compliance with company standards. Move parts, supplies, and finished goods between production areas, shipping, and storage. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure materials are delivered on time. Operate material handling equipment (with training/certification provided as needed). Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed. Provide general support to warehouse and production teams as needed. Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers efficiently. Stock inventory in designated areas of the facility. Operate ERP systems and other warehouse equipment to fulfill orders accurately. Manage shipping and receiving documentation, ensuring all records are complete and accurate. Coordinate with team members and schedules to ensure timely job completion for in-house operations and outside process operations. Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities of products. Contact suppliers for product status and estimated shipment dates. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or related experience (manufacturing environment preferred). Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new tasks. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory systems. Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions: Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment. Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
