Company Driver

Job Summary

The company is seeking a competent driver with DOT credentials to make deliveries to businesses.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes—some addresses will be industrial while other will be rural

• Follow routes and time schedule 

• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, maintain, and operate delivery vehicles and trailers 

• Maintain computer report logs of mileage, maintenance, and fuel for company fleet 

• Safely and effectively secure the load/ cargo

• Provide customer service/ resolve issues

• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license is required, CDL preferred 

• Good driving record is required 

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical 

• Ability to operate heavy machinery in a variety of weather and traffic conditions 

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Common computer skills are necessary 

• Schedule regularly has a start and end time

• Overtime and overnights may be required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
