Responsibilities

• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens in accordance with departmental policies
• Collect urine specimens from patients, ensuring proper identification and documentation
• Conduct observed and/or supervised specimen collections, maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
• Follow all safety protocols, including Universal Precautions and OSHA standards, while handling specimens
• Properly label specimens and prepare them for shipment to the laboratory
• Demonstrate customer service skills when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
• Communicate effectively with a diverse patient population and team members
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with office responsibilities as needed
• Report any issues, low shift volume, or procedural deviations to supervisors

Required Skills

• Exceptional customer service skills and a reliable work ethic
• Strong computer proficiency, including managing multiple programs, email, and report management
• Fast and accurate data entry capabilities
• Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable performing physical activities such as walking, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Experience in specimen collection or healthcare-related roles preferred
• Ability to work part-time schedule: Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, totaling 20 hours per week
• Solid color scrubs and closed-toe shoes required for attire
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
