About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience License: Active state RN license or compact license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Electrophysiology experience - Experience with EPIC and MacLab - Experience in advanced practice cardiac cath and peripheral angiography Description: This position requires performing advanced practice cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiologic studies, and therapeutic interventional procedures. The nurse will provide peri-procedural care and education for patients. Assisting cardiologists and other specialists during diagnostic and interventional procedures is a key responsibility. Maintaining records and documentation for procedures is essential. The cath lab consists of multiple labs for electrophysiology and cardiac catheterizations, with a patient load that can reach approximately 20 patients daily. This is a fast-paced, high acuity environment that also includes structural heart procedures. Candidates should be comfortable handling the demands of a Level 3 Cath lab. Call responsibilities include once weekly and every 4th weekend. The role involves working with various cardiac devices and requires understanding complex cardiovascular conditions.
