Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman ElectricianRogue Valley Door is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations through electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.The ideal candidate is a safety-focused professional with strong attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment. Experience with millwork equipment and refurbishment is preferred.This is a full-time position with variable days and hours. Benefits are available after 60 days of employment. Pay is dependent on experience (DOE).Qualifications & RequirementsMust possess and maintain an Oregon Limited Plant Journeyman Electrical LicenseMinimum 4–5 years of Journeyman Electrician experienceExperience with industrial electrical systems and plant maintenance preferredExperience refurbishing millwork equipment preferredStrong understanding of electrical safety practices and proceduresAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and job specificationsKnowledge of and ability to follow the National Electrical Code (NEC)Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficientlyAbility to work independently with minimal direct supervisionMust be able to work collaboratively with plant employees and maintenance teamsJob Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Repair and install motor controls and electrical circuitsInstall, troubleshoot, and repair components within motor control circuitsPlan, layout, and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to job specifications and local electrical codesInstall wire in conduit systems, including terminations and switchesEnsure all electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code and company safety standardsTroubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairsComplete preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipmentPerform plant maintenance functions with minimal direct supervisionRespond to unscheduled plant repair and rework needs, including off-shift requests as neededMaintain certification to operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and man liftsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWork effectively with other departments as part of a team effortAssist in other areas of the facility as neededWork EnvironmentThis position requires working in a manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are top priorities.
