\n Wyoming Medical Center provides a warm, family-friendly environment with advanced equipment and a highly trained maternity staff to support mothers and babies. The Ruth R. Ellbogen Mother, Baby and Family Center celebrates over 1,100 births annually, marked by a lullaby played throughout the hospital. The facility features six labor and delivery rooms, a dedicated C-section suite, and 10 private family-sized rooms with pull-out couches for comfort. For babies requiring additional care, the Level II Nursery offers specialized treatment, including respiratory support and 24/7 pediatric hospitalists, keeping families close to home. With its privacy-focused design and comprehensive care, the center ensures safety and comfort for both mother and baby.\n

\n What Does an OB/GYN Hospitalist Do?\n
\n \n- \n

\n Caring for all pregnant women who present emergently, regardless of circumstance\n
\n - \n
\n Cultivating relationships with staff nurses and hospital personnel\n
\n - \n
\n Supporting private practice physicians by providing coverage and assistance\n
\n - \n
\n Caring for unassigned patients\n
\n - \n
\n Evaluating and treating triage patients\n
\n - \n
\n Providing consultation to the ED\n
\n - \n
\n Monitoring labor and Delivering babies\n
\n - \n
\n Performing surgery and surgical assists\n
\n - \n
\n Evaluating and treating postpartum patients\n
\n - \n
\n Assisting with OB residents and medical student education\n
\n - \n
\n Providing nurse support and education\n
\n - \n
\n Participating in emergency drills and simulations\n
\n - \n
\n Developing best practices\n
\n - \n
\n Participating in clinical trials\n
\n - \n
\n Facilitating daily interdisciplinary board rounds to improve patient safety\n
