Job Description

A well-established, family-owned company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its growing accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. The role will focus on general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial close, and supporting AP/AR functions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in construction and/or retail, along with strong Excel and accounting systems skills. They are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, adaptable, team-oriented, and highly committed to integrity and accountability.

 

Responsibilities :

• Maintain and balance general ledger accounts and prepare accurate journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP and internal company policies.
• Support credit card processing and track AP/AR activity.
• Analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and meet reporting deadlines.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:
