Interventional Radiologist

Opportunity Overview We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to provide onsite services at a leading VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX . This is an excellent opportunity for an Interventional Radiologist who wants to combine advanced procedural expertise with mission-driven patient care for U.S. Veterans . The physician will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment and perform a broad range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform a comprehensive range of image-guided interventional radiology procedures . Perform biopsies, drainages, catheter placements, and vascular access procedures. Perform vascular interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, and thrombolysis . Perform embolization procedures and dialysis access management. Perform paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biliary interventions. Provide patient evaluation and clinical management before, during, and after procedures. Conduct consultations and accurately complete procedure reports and clinical documentation. Communicate treatment recommendations and results with patients and referring providers. Collaborate with physicians, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain compliance with applicable VA policies, HIPAA requirements, and established clinical standards. Provide backup coverage when needed to ensure continuity of patient care. Schedule & Call Monday Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Off-hours on-call coverage may be required , including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Respond to calls within 15 minutes . Report onsite within 60 minutes when required. Required Qualifications Board Certified in Interventional Radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory. Current DEA registration . Valid NPI . Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) . Demonstrated proficiency in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures. Strong clinical judgment and patient-care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
