Division 10 Carpenter

Description Job Summary: The Division 10 Carpenter is responsible for the installation of specialty building products defined under CSI Division 10 on commercial construction projects. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, coordination with other trades, and the ability to install finished products according to project specifications, safety standards, and schedules. Key Responsibilities Install Division 10 specialty items including, but not limited to: Toilet partitions and accessories Lockers and shelving systems Wall protection (corner guards, crash rails) Fire extinguisher cabinets Visual display boards (whiteboards, tack boards) Shades, screens, and projection equipment Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Measure, cut, assemble, and install materials accurately Coordinate installation activities with other trades to avoid conflicts Verify materials and hardware are correct prior to installation Maintain clean and safe work areas in compliance with OSHA and site‑specific safety requirements Identify and report field issues, deficiencies, or scope conflicts Ensure quality workmanship and completed installations meet project standards Assist with punch list items and final project closeout as needed Skills Carpentry Blueprint Construction Framing Install Finish carpentry Drywall Hand tool Commercial construction Rough carpentry Metal stud Tape measure Power tool Doors Additional Skills & Qualifications 2+ years of commercial construction or finish carpentry experience (Division 10 experience strongly preferred) Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Proficient with hand and power tools used in finish carpentry Strong attention to detail and finish quality Ability to work independently or as part of a team Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work for an extended period Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
