Facility Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Elmendorf TX 78112Duration: Contract 12 MonthJob DescriptionDuties:Performs routine building maintenance tasks including but not limited to:Drywall patchingPaintingCubicle demo/installOffice furniture movesPerforms general facility and equipment support:Light plumbing repairs (fixtures, leaks, drains)Changing HVAC filters and basic HVAC upkeepLoad, unload, and stage truck deliveriesMonitor and pump out containment padsMaintain, monitor, & inspect facility equipment (compressors, generators, etc.)Supports maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of site operations:Perform basic machine and equipment repair (mechanical components, belts, motors)Assist with preventative maintenance on facility and test equipmentPerform general cleaning of site, work areas, shop floors, and equipmentMaintain 5S standards and safe/organized workspacesSupports technical troubleshooting and operations:Assist with troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsSupport repairs to facility infrastructure and prototype/test equipmentIdentify issues and escalate complex repairs as neededPerform general labor and support tasks across the facilityRequired Skills:Basic knowledge of:Electrical systems (wiring, outlets, low-voltage systems)Pneumatic systems (air lines, regulators, compressors)Mechanical systems (motors, pumps, basic machine components)Hydraulic systems (pumps, actuators)Plumbing and carpentryAbility to:Perform minor repairs on building systems and equipmentUse hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentRead and follow work instructions and safety proceduresStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood communication and teamwork across teamsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:3+ years of facility maintenance or related experienceExperience with preventative maintenance and basic equipment repair preferredExposure to industrial or R&D environments is a plusPhysical Requirements / Work Environment:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to climb ladders and work at heightsAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditionsComfortable working around shop equipment, vehicles, and active operations
