Patient Care Associate - Uni-SHB

Sinai's 21-bed Labor and Delivery unit delivers fast-paced, high-acuity care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients, including complex cases managed in partnership with a Level III NICU. It's a collaborative OB environment for nurses who want to build strong high-risk obstetric skills.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides safe, compassionate, and age-appropriate care to postpartum patients and newborns within the Mother Baby Unit. The CNA supports the nursing team by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe patient environment, and promoting comfort for mothers and their newborns.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, attentive to detail, and committed to providing a positive experience for patients and families during their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide supportive care to postpartum patients, including assistance with hygiene, mobility, comfort measures, and activities of daily living
- Assist with newborn care activities under the direction and supervision of the nursing team
- Assist patients with comfort needs, including positioning, obtaining supplies, and ensuring access to personal items
- Support the nursing team with patient care activities and communicate patient needs or changes in condition promptly
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Certified Nursing Assistant I - Maryland Board of Nursing License
* Certified Nursing Assistant II License - Maryland Boarding of Nursing License

Pay Range: $20.00 to $20.00 Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including the market range, candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal peer equity.
