Lead Quality Inspector

Randstad is looking for detail-oriented, highly skilled Lead Quality Inspector to join our production and assembly team. In this role, you will conduct visual and instrumental inspections of electronic assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, bare PCBs, cables, and box builds. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, and possesses deep hands-on expertise in SMT, AOI, and electronic component identification. *must have experience with setting up/operating AOI machines, familiarity with IPC-A-610/AS9100D standards, reading engineering drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and assembly drawings* salary: $52,000 - $83,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Conduct through visual and instrumental inspections of complex assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, printed circuit boards, complete box builds, cables, etc. to determine and ensure acceptability for use based on identified criteria Knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole assembly methods Perform first piece and final inspections according to customer & IPC requirements. Verify against the drawings to determine compliance and record inspection status on QC inspection reports Proficiency in identifying components on an assembled Printed Circuit Board (PCB) relying on silkscreen markings, reviewingdesign documentation Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bill of Materials, and work instructions Accurately document inspection results, and nonconformances Assist in training new team members in inspection techniques, procedures, and quality standards, and recommend process improvements to management Proficient at setting-up and operating AOI machines Proficiency in using various inspection and measurement equipment such as microscopes, calipers, gauges, etc. Accountable for quality, quantity and inspection of work performed Candidates should demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Essential functions of this role include: wearing steel toe shoes working in a non-temperature controlled environment Skills Testing Quality Assurance Sampling Leading Manufacturing Blueprints Product Inspection Quality Control AOI Qualifications Years of experience: 0 years Experience level: Experienced Experience Experienced Education No Degree Required Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
