About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Technology Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Permanent Placement Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 8, 10, or 12 hours available Experience: Minimum experience in orthopedic surgeries required License: Current licensure in surgical technology preferred Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Proficiency with Zimmer and Arthrex instrumentation and equipment - Experience in heavy total joint replacement and sports medicine surgeries - Ability to work in multiple specialties (Orthopedics, ENT, GYN, Spine, Urology, cataracts, General Surgery) Description: Permanent placement positions for a Surgical Technologist available. Shifts include various hours with a start time of 0630. Staff are expected to arrive at 0600 for specific early cases. The facility operates Monday through Friday with a focus on efficiency. There are no required weekend or holiday shifts. The surgical services team includes an RN and a Surgical Technologist in each OR suite. Each staff member is expected to pull their own cases, terminally clean, and set up for surgeries. Additional staff may float to assist with instrument handling if necessary. The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, requiring flexibility. The facility conducts a variety of surgeries but specializes in orthopedics. Staff must maintain grooming standards, including nail length and jewelry restrictions. Vaccination aligned with CDC recommendations is required, with exemptions allowed for specific vaccinations. Lunch options are limited to vending machines and delivery services, as no cafeteria is available. The facility handles a mix of adult and pediatric cases, operating efficiently to accommodate approximately 20 surgeries daily.
