This role blends hands-on mechanical engineering with strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and innovation that drives meaningful business impact.The ideal candidate is recognized as a strong mechanical engineering expert, and comfortable operating across product design, manufacturing, cost, and operations.The Mechanical Engineer will:Own assigned mechanical design and engineering tasks for products, tooling, and production processes from concept through implementationDevelop performance specifications, design concepts, and future-state solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiencyCreate and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentationSupport production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving design- and process-related issues on existing products and equipmentCoordinate cross-functional activities with operations, quality, supply chain, vendors, and customers to meet project schedules and milestonesIdentify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and strategic partnerships that advance manufacturing and distribution capabilitiesBasic qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering degree, with a graduation date of Dec 2026Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred qualifications:Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environmentExperience with equipment and/or building maintenanceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillExperience with SAP and/or ManhattanProject management experienceAdept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutionsFamiliarity with Lean principlesAdditional details:This job could be in our production facility in Leavenworth, KS OR our distribution center in Liberty, MO.
