RN MedSurg Nights

Role Overview: Provides proficient direct patient care in a 24/7 Acute Care (MedSurg) environment, utilizing the nursing process to optimize patient outcomes. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including transfers and discharges. Educates patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and condition, delegating tasks to ancillary staff and mentoring new personnel. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on assessments. Monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively. Coordinate interdisciplinary care, including discharge and psychosocial support. Provide patient and family education; delegate care appropriately. Work independently in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating critical thinking and decisive judgment. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred. Current RN licensure and BLS certification. Minimum 6 months of RN experience. Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
