Compensation: $85,000.00

We are searching for an experienced Project Manager to join the team of a fast-growing company specializing in large steel projects.

Schedule: Full-Time / 6:30 am - 4:30 pm

About the Company: We weld, fabricate, and install structural steel and aluminum for large construction projects. Since our inception in 1990, we have been dedicated to producing quality workmanship and specialty products in a field of ever-changing industry.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading individual, multi-disciplined structural steel project solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.

• Manage all facets of project management (Budget, schedule, procurement, change orders, quality, and risk) for individual projects including planning, design, construction, and closeout.
• Demonstrate capability to read, understand, and apply standard documents affecting projects, including but not limited to agreements/contracts, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
• Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate and budget, work plan schedule and milestones, quality control and risk identification.
• Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists; Conducts simple request for proposals; completes bid analysis with management support. Recommends resources to clients.
• Leads project delivery resources/team (typically smaller team), providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
• Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings. Attends project meetings led by customer.
• Implements project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
• Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
• Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management support.
• Implements standard risk management routines with management support to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

• 3-4 years of related project management experience with structural steel in the construction industry
• Prior Project Management in Commercial Construction
• Experience in structural steel solutions is preferred
• Knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge of contracts and construction practices.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Field Measuring
