Event AssistantBring events to life! Join our team at the Melton Student Center and Student Activities Center, where you'll assist with dynamic event set-ups, seamless breakdowns, and cutting-edge audio-visual support.ResponsibilitiesMove and arrange furniture and equipment needed for various customer events, including tables, chairs, staging, and podiumsAssist building staff with cleaning spaces before and after eventsAssist with audio-visual set-up including data projectors, microphones, and speakers for events in the Student CenterUnderstand how to read diagrams and room set-up sheets and be able to set up spaces according to those diagramsAttend all mandatory meetings and trainingsArrive promptly for shifts, dressed in provided uniforms, presenting a professional appearance and enthusiastic team attitudeQualificationsEnrolled student at Auburn UniversityExpectations:• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0• An outgoing person willing to engage with customer population• Applicants must be available to work weekdays and weekends, including mornings and evenings• Ability to work in team environment• Ability to lift heavy equipment (25lbs or greater)• Previous event operations experience• Knowledge of large audio-visual systems• Possess some working knowledge of audio-visual equipmentMust be available to work nights and weekends.
