Summary Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within the warehouse by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ability to lead and direct team efforts in a warehouse environment. Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Marks materials with identifying information such as labels. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Arranges product in specified sequence for assembly by other workers. Supervisory Responsibilities Leads a group of 10+ employees in the warehouse operation. Responsibilities include the ability to lead, motivate, and direct team efforts while informing the department supervisor of problems or potential problems that require immediate attention. Competencies Safety and Security – observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Attendance/Punctuality – is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Dependability – follows instructions, responds to management direction; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Pay Range $19.00* (anticipated starting salary range). The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The final starting salary will be negotiated in accordance with applicable laws.
