Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Overview Production Supervisor - Converting Location: 700 W Court St, Urbana, OH 43078, USA Employment: Full-time, onsite Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Legal: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment Responsibilities Oversee daily manufacturing operations in the Converting department to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. Lead and support production teams, enforce safety and quality requirements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance including customer service, on-time delivery, and cost. Lead by example in a values-driven culture, aligning teams with the company’s mission, vision, and values. Lead, coach, and develop production employees while fostering teamwork and accountability. Supervise daily production operations to meet output, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets. Plan and assign work, monitor workflow, and adjust staffing or processes to meet production demands. Ensure employees are properly trained and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Monitor production and quality performance, addressing issues, defects, and performance gaps in a timely manner. Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve operational issues and maintain workflow. Maintain accurate production reports and communicate performance, issues, and improvement actions to leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Experience in a safety- and quality-driven manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality systems. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools. Ability to analyze data and solve problems using structured methods. Proficiency in production systems, ERP/MRP, and Microsoft Office.
