A well-established public-sector organization is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Clerk to join its team. This position is fully on-site and offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting payroll operations while serving as a backup to the current Payroll Administrator. Position Overview
In this role, youll support end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 200 employees, including both hourly and salaried staff. Youll be part of a collaborative environment where accuracy, timeliness, and communication are essential to success.
What Youll Do
- Assist with full-cycle payroll processing from start to finish
- Manage multiple payroll schedules: part-time, monthly, and full-time (biweekly)
- Pull and review timecards using a timekeeping system, ensuring accuracy
- Identify discrepancies and partner with supervisors to resolve issues
- Process retirement system payments (OPERS)
- Enter and manage payroll data within a payment portal system
What You Bring
- 13 years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basic formulas like SUM, editing columns, copy/paste functions)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
