Virtual Care Registered Nurse – Virtual Care Department Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: This position is located on site at Texas Health Dallas – 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: PRN- Days. This prn role offers as needed shifts which on days 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Shifts may be available any day of the week. Virtual Care Department highlights: Opportunity to innovate healthcare Professional advancement opportunities Strong teamwork and collaboration Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma Nursing is required Or Associate's Degree Nursing is required Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing is preferred 3 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is required 8 Years Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting; preferred PCU or ICU experience is preferred Experience in inpatient adult acute care (not procedure areas, not neonates) is strongly preferred. RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire is required And CPR – Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Every 2 years. Obtains within 30 Days is required Able to promote patient safety and a positive patient experience Flexible and comfortable with a changing and dynamic work environment and schedule across all days Team player who also works well independently Participates in ongoing learning and continuing education to care for a variety of patient populations Collaborate, advocate and mentor others with a professional, non-condescending manner Model collaborative, respectful team relationships with colleagues and customers; lead by example Strong interpersonal, inter-professional communication and collaboration capabilities Ability to analyze, interpret and problem solve quickly with well-articulated action planning Strong verbal/written communication and conflict resolution skills Strong empathy to deliver compassionate, patient centered care Communicates effectively in interprofessional teams including peers, nursing, ancillary professionals and supplier providers Has professional and respectful interactions with patients, caregivers, and members of the interprofessional team Supports the transitioning of patients effectively within and across health delivery systems Identifies forces that impact the cost of health care, and advocates for, and practices cost-effective care and leadership Ability to use technology in addition to Epic What You Will Do The Virtual Care RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to various patient populations and includes the following key elements: Utilizing monitoring, assessment, planning, intervention and critical thinking skills to care for acute care patient populations Navigating patients and families across the continuum.
