HVAC Service Technician

NCS is seeking experienced HVAC technicians at the Journeyman or 5th Year Apprentice level.

About the Role: We're looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates who are currently classified as a Journeyman or 5th Year Apprentice through Pipefitters Local 539 , or experienced non-union technicians with the skills and experience necessary to test into the union at a comparable level.

Union Membership:

This position is covered under Pipefitters Local 539 .

• Current Pipefitters Local 539 members are encouraged to apply.
• Qualified non-union candidates with equivalent experience are welcome to apply and may be eligible to enter the union and be placed at the appropriate apprenticeship or journeyman level based on qualifications and Local 539 requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and residential HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide effective solutions
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
• Complete work orders, notes, and documentation accurately
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Represent NCS professionally at customer sites

What We're Looking For:

• Current Local 539 Journeyman or 5th Year Apprentice preferred
• Experienced non-union technicians with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment
• EPA Certification
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning

Compensation & Benefits

• 5th Year Apprentice: $50.98/hour
• Journeyman: $54.19/hour
