School Security Specialist

School Security Specialist
GHS is seeking a dedicated School Security Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. School Security Specialists maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This 10-month position works from September through June on a Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm schedule.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Previous security experience and a background working with children are strongly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Clearance: Must successfully complete the fingerprinting and criminal history review process.
Reports To: Building Principal and Vice-Principal
Job Goal/Major Functions:
- Access Control: Monitor building entrances, ensure doors remain locked, and prevent doors from being propped open.
- Visitor Management: Check in guests, facilitate student pick-ups, and receive deliveries.
- Campus Monitoring: Patrol hallways periodically and provide continual supervision during your shift.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce school rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
