Senior Project Manager

We are partnering with an innovative boutique space technology company at the forefront of human space exploration. Their mission is to enable sustainable living beyond Earth through the development of advanced technologies spanning life support systems, habitat infrastructure, space agriculture, biological research instrumentation, and solutions designed to enhance human health and performance in space. Senior Project Manager to join their small team in Boulder to play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between engineering teams, customers, and executive leadership, ensuring complex technical programmes are delivered successfully while aligning stakeholder expectations and business objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end execution of a $10M+ aerospace project, ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality Develop and maintain integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers Track program performance using appropriate metrics (e.g., milestones, EVM where applicable) Identify, manage, and mitigate technical, schedule, and cost risks Coordinate a cross‑functional engineering team Prepare and present program status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and customers Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements, particularly for mission‑ or safety‑critical systems Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and milestone decision points Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field 5+ years of experience managing aerospace programs in the ~$5M–$15M range through the full project life cycle (Phase A through Phase F) Proven ability to own cost, schedule, scope, and risk for technical programs Proficiency in MS Project Strong technical foundation enabling effective engagement with engineering teams and customers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment Advantageous Qualifications Experience with government or commercial aerospace customers (e.g., NASA, DoD, primes, or international partners) Familiarity with human‑rated, mission‑critical, or safety‑critical systems Project Management Professional (PMP) Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) If you would like more information regarding this role, please contact Yasmin Hamdy at View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Auxo Talent
