Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Plans menu for clients, published 4x/week. Prepares and delivers Nutrition Education classes to clients at least 3x/week. Prepares individual nutrition assessment for each client within one week of arrival and prepares/documents meal plan prior to client's graduation from program. Directs Head Chef and other cooking staff in areas including menu, meal prep, kitchen cleanliness, and customer service. Manages food inventory alongside Head Chef. Assists with cooking classes as needed/required. Provides guidance individually or in group discussions on the importance of following well-balanced nutritional guidelines. Assists in authoring recipes for client’s dossier. Leads at least one grocery store tour and/or one restaurant outing with clients per week. Assists Fitness Trainers with fitness assessments when needed. Provide clients with positive, supportive, and constructive feedback in matters of nutrition and wellness. Qualifications Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related, equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment. Must possess extensive knowledge of nutrition and must be able to teach those principles to others. Knowledge of addiction and drug treatment preferred. Functions with an awareness of patient safety issues and applies basic principles of safety as identified within the facility. Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
