Prep Cook

Prepare ingredients for daily meals serving a residential school community. Assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner prep in a high-volume kitchen. Execute knife work including chopping, dicing, slicing, and portioning. Prepare cold station items such as salads, deli items, sauces, and grab-and-go foods. Support hot line production under the direction of the chef and sous chef. Follow standardized recipes, production records, and batch cooking methods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout the shift. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines. Assist with receiving deliveries, proper storage, labeling, and rotation. Participate in occasional catering events and special functions. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and school-year schedules. Prior prep cook or kitchen experience preferred. Team-oriented, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced boarding school environment.

Schedule: This account is open 7 days a week and works to create a schedule that works for everyone- days and shifts may vary.

Pay Type: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members. Maintain the customer service areas to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences. Prepare assigned menu items in accordance with SAGE recipes. Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HACCP).

Experience as a prep cook or line server in a commercial kitchen preferred. Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately. Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner and provide service with a smile!
