Contract Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends.

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team on the 4th floor unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients during childbirth, including managing labor, assisting with deliveries, and providing post-delivery care.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patient conditions during labor and postpartum.
Administer medications and manage pain relief methods.
Facilitate and support childbirth processes, including C-Sections and vaginal deliveries.
Perform fetal monitoring and respond to fetal distress as necessary.
Document patient care and procedures in EMR (Meditech).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Valid RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Intermediate fetal monitoring experience.
At least 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
Competency in C-Section circulation and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
EFM and SVE competency.
