Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to the accurate and efficient financial operations of the company. Position Overview: The Financial Accountant will assist the financial accounting team in all aspects of financial accounting, including computing and recording monthly journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and performing other financial accounting duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile assigned bank accounts on a monthly basis. Property & Equipment Ledgers: Assist in maintaining the property and equipment ledgers, including preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and placing equipment tags on items. General Ledger Entries & Reconciliations: Prepare general ledger reconciliations and related entries as needed to ensure accuracy in financial records. Statutory Filing Support: Assist in the preparation of statutory quarterly and annual filing requirements as assigned. Special Projects: Take on special requests and projects as directed by management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered. Proven experience in financial accounting or bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of general ledger operations. Knowledge of financial accounting software and systems. Experience with insurance or general ledger software packages is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
