Senior Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist

Senior EHS Specialist position at Integrated DNA Technologies overseeing environmental health and safety compliance at a combined manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and R&D facility in Sunnyvale, California. Responsible for implementing EHS management systems, conducting risk assessments and incident investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS function for manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and R&D site operations
• Implement EHS management system programs including audits, training, and corrective action plans
• Conduct risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, and inspections using continuous improvement tools
• Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements
• Monitor EHS performance metrics, trends, and emerging regulatory changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least three years supporting manufacturing, industrial, or regulated operations
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and related regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
• Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to engage multiple organizational levels
• Ability to travel up to 5% and lift equipment up to 50 pounds

Compensation: $83,000-$100,000 base
