Admitting Representative

Job TitleThis position is responsible for registration and insurance verification in all registration areas within MyMichigan Health. This position will make financial arrangements for patients without insurance or with inadequate insurance. A primary function of this position will be to perform point-of-service collections of co-pay and deductible amounts from patients at the point of discharge in a diplomatic and customer focused manner. This position must be able to work in a team atmosphere and have good communication skills. This position will also perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.For casual staff responsible for picking up a minimum of 50% of the requests to provide admitting coverage in any of the Midland, Clare, and Gratiot locations and is responsible for registration and insurance verification of all patients who present to registration.Responsibilities include communicating available financial assistances program for self-pay patients.Required Education: HIGH
