Collaborates with a physician(s) and other clinicians in providing a full scope of patient care. The focus is on preventive health or the management of acute and/or stable chronic conditions. Performs medical services that have been specifically authorized and directed by the credentialing body and the certifying organization through which they hold licensure.**Position Summary**The APP provides health care services to patients working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff. Healthcare services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education, and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate**Minimum Qualifications*** Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio* Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing* Master of Science Degree in Nursing* 0 years of relevant experience required.* 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.**OR*** Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA).* Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C* 0 years of relevant experience required.* 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.**Career Roadmap**FUNCTION: Advanced PracticeSUBFUNCTION: Advanced Practice ProviderCAREER BAND: Individual Contributor - ClinicalCAREER LEVEL: C3## Additional Information:This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team is a unique service to work on the BMT service takes care of allogeneic transplant patients throughout their entire disease process and are experts in taking care of complications such as GVHD that occur with this patient population. Additionally it also take care of cell therapy patients (CAR-T, TIL) both clinical trials and FDA approved therapies to treat not only Heme malignancies but oncology malignancies (Lung CA, Melanoma) that have side effects that require quick and prompt intervention. This service get to know their patients very well since they are usually admitted for long periods of time and get to develop a professional relationship with them as they frequently care for them for long periods of time both during initial transplant and complications after.## Location:James Cancer Hospital (0375)## Position Type:Regular## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**Rotating Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
