Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients experiencing childbirth and related obstetric conditions. This role involves working within a team-based unit to support maternal and neonatal health needs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor laboring patients, including those with multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, and pregnancy-induced hypertension.
• Administer medications, including those requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Record and document patient progress and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient calls and needs, ensuring safety and comfort for both mother and infant.
• Assist with procedures such as C-sections and D&Cs as necessary within scope of practice.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid RN license for GA or a Compact state at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, with a maximum of 7 days RTO.
• Strong understanding of obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation.
