Job Title Assistant Professor of Marketing (Tenure‑Track) Location Lexington, KY Job Summary The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a 9‑month, tenure‑eligible position at the Assistant Professor level, with a preferred start date of August 1, 2027. The role blends teaching, research, and service, with an anticipated initial distribution of 30 % teaching, 60 % research, and 10 % service. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in sales‑related subjects such as Personal Selling, Sales Management, and Digital Marketing, with flexibility to cover other marketing courses based on departmental need. Develop and conduct an active research program in marketing strategy, aiming for publication in premier journals (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science). Mentor and advise students and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession. Qualifications Ph.D. (or DBA) in marketing or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited institution, or be expected to earn one by the appointment start date; ABD candidates near completion considered if the degree is completed within one year of appointment. Excellent teaching record with strong evaluations. Active research pipeline in marketing strategy topics, such as firm‑level marketing decisions, go‑to‑market strategy, sales force strategy, and customer relationship management. Relevant industry or professional sales experience preferred.
