Shift & Location Night shift (7 pm–7 am) Full‑time, 28‑bed MedSurg unit focused on post‑surgical patients with overflow to general MedSurg and telemetry Magnet design‑ated campus, Leapfrog designated, Prism award for MedSurg excellence Enhanced Sign‑On Bonus eligible up to $20K for RN’s with one year plus experience Responsibilities Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence‑based practice. Provide relationship‑based, patient‑centered care tailored to individual cultural diversity. Conduct bedside shift reports, keeping patients and families updated and focusing on patient goals. Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, promoting the professional care delivery model. Participate in performance improvement, research, and shared governance at all system levels. Serve as preceptor or mentor for nurses, staff, and students to develop a qualified workforce. Promote evidence‑based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain compliance with Wellstar policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license; Single State or Multi‑State Compact RN‑COMPACT accepted. Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience; direct patient care experience preferred. Associate’s, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer‑service skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; basic computer skills. Critical thinking, analytical, and evidence‑based practice skills. Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and respect.
