The Short Order Cook will prepare and cook American diner-style and cafe breakfast foods in a medium volume kitchen, efficiently handling 75-150 orders per day. This role requires expertise in standard grill and fryer operation with a focus on timing coordination to ensure prompt service during morning and afternoon shifts. The cook will maintain kitchen cleanliness and adhere strictly to food safety standards while delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate grill and fryer to cook diner-style breakfast and cafe foods
• Plate food attractively while maintaining quality standards
• Coordinate cooking times to ensure timely order completion
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
• Monitor inventory and report low-stock items
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in short order cooking
• Proficiency with grill operation and fryer use
