Plant Safety & Environmental Programs Advisor — Injection/Blow Molding

This on-site role partners closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and leadership. Spanish fluency is preferred. What you'll tackle first Map out a 90-day audit plan for OSHA and environmental requirements Refresh training content for Lockout/Tagout, PPE & Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, Ergonomics, and Emergency Response Stand up a near-miss reporting sprint and close the loop with corrective actions Validate hazardous/non-hazardous waste storage areas and stormwater best practices Core responsibilities Administer and improve the site EHS program in alignment with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations Perform routine audits, inspections, and risk assessments across injection and blow molding operations Lead incident and near-miss investigations; document root causes; drive corrective and preventive actions Maintain OSHA logs and all required documentation and compliance records Monitor environmental programs: waste management, emissions, stormwater, and chemical handling Assist with regulatory reporting and environmental inspections Facilitate training and coach employees and leaders to strengthen safety culture Identify hazards linked to plastics equipment, robotics/automation, compressed air systems, and material handling/resins Support engineering/administrative controls and track safety metrics for continuous improvement Contribute to emergency planning (fire, evacuation, spill, medical) and run drills Why you'll love this work Real influence: your recommendations reach decision-makers quickly Visible results: safer operations, stronger compliance, and better environmental stewardship Collaborative culture: work side-by-side with operators and leaders What you bring Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing; plastics/injection/blow molding or industrial manufacturing strongly preferred OSHA 30 preferred CHST, ASP, or similar credential; First Aid/CPR/AED (preferred) Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance Accident/incident investigation and root‑cause analysis expertise Influencing skills with strong documentation and organization Microsoft Office proficiency Spanish bilingual skills preferred Work location On-site at our Aurora, Illinois facility.
