Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities Provide electrical concepts to support project initiatives that enhance PetSafe product lines and technical platforms. Determine electrical technical feasibility of new technology proposals. Develop product specifications across a wide range of technologies. Create electrical designs to support new technology efforts, including schematic development. Build and test low‑volume PCBA prototypes. Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to optimize design compatibility. Engage with project leads during ideation, concept development, and feasibility testing. Complete summary documentation and research white papers. Execute the company’s Intellectual Property Strategy by documenting inventions and supporting patent applications. Assist in the creation of instruction manuals, training manuals, and other consumer service information during technology transfer. Conduct competitive product analysis and participate in market research. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of electronic design experience. Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) in electrical or electronic engineering from an accredited institution. Experience with a broad set of technologies preferred. Self‑started, self‑motivated, goal‑oriented team player. Proficient in schematic capture software; experience with Altium preferred. Exceptional ability to prototype and test PCBA units. Proficient with graphical presentation and documentation tools. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively. Travel both domestically and internationally (~10%). Accountabilities Complete assigned projects according to timelines and within budget. Deliver all required project documentation.
