Make a meaningful impact supporting students and families for the full 2026-2027 school year in a vibrant, collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 2027 and is perfect for compassionate school social workers who excel working with young learners. Multiple openings are available, with caseloads focusing on elementary (K-4), early elementary (K-2), and a wide-ranging K-12 role within emotional support and autistic support settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Social Worker license, with school-based experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students in educational or clinical settings
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and special education processes
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse populations
- Ability to maintain thorough documentation and case notes as required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct social work services to students, including group and individual support
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students’ educational plans
- Participate in IEP and intervention meetings
- Build relationships with families and connect them to school and community resources
- Provide crisis intervention, as needed
- Advocate for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs
- Assist in creating and implementing strategies that foster a positive, inclusive school culture
