Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital - Onancock, Virginia Apr 30, 2026 Pay information not provided Overview Responsible for the integration of the nursing process to include coordination/management of patient care; organizing, planning, directing and evaluating services provided with a core focus on facility and associated departments. Provides leadership, direction and mentorship to the staffing needs for the designated specialty and speciality areas. As a Clinical Expert, ensures the provision of clinically competent services by validating staff competency in the provision of a comprehensive range of services/care in accordance with standards of excellence, age‑specific and cultural sensitivity established by Riverside Health System and facility goals and strategic plans. Performs other duties as assigned. What you will do Demonstrate ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served in the Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments (see unit specific competencies and equipment checklists). Partner with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient. Assess and incorporate evidence-based standards of practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in coordination of care. Facilitate safe patient transitions to the next care setting as part of plan of care. Demonstrate a sense of urgency to facilitate patient throughput to assure patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care. Focus on quality outcomes of patient care when addressing customers’ needs to include current evidence-based practice and quality measures. Demonstrate understanding of diverse patient care populations and ability to modify education method to ensure patient/family comprehension. Educate by assuming responsibility to individualize and coordinate patient education, and discharge specific education that includes family/caregiver. Evaluate for patient comprehension and document. Accurately complete all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements. Delegate and prioritize tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and ensure patient care needs are met. Recognize and respond to emergency situations. Evaluate own needs for support and use identified systems to meet need. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required) Master’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred) Experience 1 year RN experience in obstetrical care (inpatient or outpatient) (Required) 1 year supervisory experience in obstetrical care (Required) Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Licensed as Registered Nurse by state of Virginia or compact state (Required) CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association/ American Red Cross/ American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) #J-18808-Ljbffr Dormont Manufacturing Co
