Electrician, EV Charging Field Service

EV Charging Field Service Electrician Your Impact: This key role is responsible for the onsite repair and maintenance of EV charging stations across a defined region, including site safety, electrical system maintenance and repair, field reporting, and related duties essential to maintaining contractual performance. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision and field operations under varied conditions. Core Responsibilities Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/revisions for equipment ranging from Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers. Conduct equipment testing, including insulation (megger) testing, thermal imaging, torque tests, and performance evaluations. Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate or isolate ground faults. Collaborate with Planning and Scheduling teams to adhere to maintenance schedules and complete work orders accurately and on time. Review site manuals, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper service and maintenance. Execute electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance on site equipment and complete field reporting. Document all site issues in the work order system and ensure timely resolution. Core Experience Certified Electrician (Journeyman or higher) from a relevant state (required). Minimum 2 years of experience servicing electrical power equipment in commercial or utility settings, or formal electrical training. Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, and mechanical domains; knowledge of EV chargers or solar power installations is preferred. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and close work orders. Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high results orientation. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for safe job performance and effective communication. Benefits Typical schedule of approximately 10‑hour workdays. Paid port‑to‑port travel compensation, including time between job sites. Company vehicle provided for work‑related transportation. All tools and equipment supplied by the company. $100 bonus for each after‑hours service call, including emergency calls. Work in all weather conditions as required by geographic location.
