This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, providing excellent service, and helping create a safe, welcoming dining experience.Available ShiftsFull-Time, 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend requiredPart-Time, 1st Shift: Six shifts per week scheduled between 6:00 AM and 7:30 PM, with every other weekend requiredBenefitsEligible team members may receive:Up to 6% employer match on our 403(b) retirement planMedical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance for full-time team membersGenerous paid time off for full-time team membersFree Employee Assistance ProgramOn-site $5 team member meal benefitOn-site fitness center, consignment shop, and pharmacyBi-weekly pay with direct depositDietary Aide ResponsibilitiesAssist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and meal service according to menu and resident diet requirementsPlace food on trays and plates in correct portions and an attractive mannerSet up dining rooms and resident trays accurately and neatlyWork the steam table in assigned neighborhood kitchensDeliver meals, snacks, supplements, ice water, and nourishments at the correct timeAssist residents with meals and feeding as neededMonitor and document meal intake, calorie counts, and intake/output as assignedFollow resident care plans and accommodate approved last-minute diet changes or resident requestsMaintain proper food temperatures, record temperatures, and follow food-safety proceduresClean and sanitize kitchen work areas, cookware, utensils, equipment, storage areas, and nourishment refrigeratorsMaintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for residents and coworkersFollow all safety, infection-control, dietary, and facility policiesCommunicate professionally and respectfully with residents, families, nursing staff, and coworkersSupport new team member orientation and work effectively as part of a teamMaintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional appearancePerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in a healthcare, long-term care, senior living, or geriatric setting preferredBasic knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets preferredAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to use sound judgment and initiative when serving food, responding to resident needs, and completing assigned dutiesAbility to safely perform kitchen, cleaning, meal-service, and resident-assistance dutiesWhy Join Our Team?You will play an important role in residents' daily well-being by helping ensure they receive safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals.
