We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team in the Defense industry. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality in the manufacturing and refurbishment of specialized seating and interior components used in defense vehicles and aircraft. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering and production teams to fabricate upholstery that meets critical design requirements. Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to industry regulations are essential in this position. As an Upholsterer in this sector, you will contribute to the comfort, safety, and performance of our advanced defense products. This position offers the opportunity to apply traditional upholstery skills in a cutting-edge environment, supporting national security initiatives.


Responsibilities

• Fabricate high-quality upholstery for defense seating and interior components according to technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to modify designs and select appropriate materials for specialized applications.
• Maintain and operate upholstery tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Document work processes, materials used, and inspection results in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on the latest materials, techniques, and industry best practices relevant to defense upholstery.

Position Requirements

• Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of upholstery materials, tools, and techniques applicable to high-performance and safety-critical environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and precision workmanship.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and communicate effectively.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and maintain high-quality output under tight deadlines.

Salary Range
$24.04-$28.85/per hour and will be commensurate with experience
