Retail Manager Salary: $22.94/hr Job Type: Full Time / Exempt Location: Hooks and Hangers Store in La Plata Job Description Full-Time Retail Manager position available for a quality resale store located in La Plata. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years retail management experience, including employee supervision, operational budgets, sales quotas, scheduling, and advertising. Social media knowledge is a plus. Position hours vary; applicants must be flexible to include some evenings and two Saturdays a month, with Sundays off and no late nights. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and demonstrate constant creativity and commitment to the business and the agency. Qualifications and Skills Supervise employees and scheduling to ensure the store is fully staffed at all times. Assist in hiring, evaluating, and training all staff and volunteers. Establish and maintain effective store operating procedures. Maintain and increase store revenue through creative and administrative strategies that meet customer demand. Ensure store cleanliness and coordinate maintenance as needed. Build staff morale, commitment, and ongoing positive teamwork. Make sound and timely decisions in collaboration with the Area Retail Manager. Demonstrate creativity and the ability to work independently. Provide store coverage as needed outside of normally scheduled hours. Collaborate with managers of other retail locations to provide coverage, host multi-store events, and implement creative marketing ideas. Work closely with the Area Retail Director on creative strategies for the Rustic Restorations department, including exploring and implementing DIY projects, developing marketing plans, and training staff and volunteers. Social media knowledge is a plus. Minimum Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. Minimum of 5 years retail management/supervisory experience. Basic computer skills.
