MRI Technologist

JOB SUMMARY The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provide support for other imaging technologists, and facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures. Provide general support for other imaging technologists as needed. Facilitate efficient patient flow within the department. Perform basic MRI screening of patients and employees. Maintain and prepare equipment for maintenance and repairs. Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) activities. Resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems. Ensure adherence to MRI safety protocols. Maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as required. Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS. Act as a PACS Superuser, follow downtime procedures, and elevate issues to the PACS administrator. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report them to management or biomedical personnel, performing appropriate follow‑up. Adapt assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate patient needs. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by regulatory entities. Perform examinations/procedures to assist in patient throughput within the scope of documented competencies. Demonstrate professional behavior and communication aligned with organizational values. Adhere to administrative and departmental policies, including appropriate behavior, dress, attitude, attendance, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability. Schedule / Shift Days, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or a recognized equivalent. Experience 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred. Basic computer experience required. Certifications Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only). Licenses State Licensure required if working in New Mexico. MRT by MIRTP NMED (if applicable). #J-18808-Ljbffr
