HR New Hire Support Specialist

We have an outstanding Contract position for an HR New Hire Support Specialist to join a leading Company located in the Inwood, NY surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $25 - $26 

Main responsibilities include onboarding of new employees focused on operational hourly roles & conducts orientation. Deliver the presentation, responsible for submission of all orientation documents, training is around 4-5 hours. Will walk all the employees through the policies & procedures. Training will be provided for the successful candidate.

 
Responsible for I-9 administration, employment verification & hiring of employees in the HR software. Familiar with the I-9 process, HR experience & understanding importance of data accuracy.
Assigned to provide uniforms to employees, uniform orders, conduct new hire evaluations and probationary evaluations. Data entry for everything surrounding new hires could include direct deposit information. Must be detail oriented.

Job Responsibilities:  

• Orientation scheduling, coordination, facilitation anddocumentation. Kitchen/Work Area tours. 
• Introduction to Key staff and Management. 
• Mentor Program: assignments, documentation andfollow-up.
• Ensure first 2-week training assignment. 
• Coordination of new hire performance review/feedback process. 
• New Employee assessment program Lead and documentation. 
• Works with Operations management as a team member. Work schedule will vary to include 25% off shift. 
• Other duties as assigned by HRM, SHRM and Unit GM.

Basic Hiring Criteria:  

• High School diploma required. 
• Work Experience: Human Resource, Training, and Organizational Development experience preferred. 
• Staffing agency experience with mass hiring and/or business administrative support will be considered. 
• Airline and/or commercial kitchen experience a plus. 
• Working in a Labor/union environment a plus. 
• Job Skills: Strong people skills required. Must be able to communicate with all levels from front line to senior management. 
• Ability to facilitate learning and document using Windows Office Suite. 
• Work with ATS a plus (Taleo).

Desired Qualifications: 

• Two-year college degree preferred. 
• Four-year degree a plus.
