As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and monitor entry points to help support a controlled, welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and your team. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Manage access control at residential entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor and/or vehicle entry logs. Monitor cameras, intercoms, and gate or door systems; report suspicious activity and/or policy concerns to Allied Universal supervision and the appropriate on-site contacts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and escalating concerns per post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unwanted activity. Minimum Requirements: Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience. Be at least 21+ years of age. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
