System Administrator

Base pay range $30.00/hr - $32.00/hr Akkodis currently has a Systems Administrator position with a client located in Rochester, NY. This is a hybrid position with onsite and remote work, so the person needs to live within 40 miles of Rochester, NY. No C2C or agencies allowed with this position. Rate Range: $30.00 to $32.00/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Looking for a Systems Administrator who has experience with Windows Infrastructure, SCCM, Ansible, PowerShell/Automation and Cloud experience. Looking for candidates that are energetic, clever, and not shy about escalating issues. Should have hands-on Systems Administrator experience ideally in medium / large companies with SCCM experience (Support Level 2 and 3), experience working on medium / large datacenters: +200 Server also ideal. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of Wintel environments and duties performed by system administrators. Work with the Engineering and Operations teams on the development of patches that will be applied to the Production system. Assist in developing, maintaining and reviewing complete system documentation. Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems. Perform audits and analysis of application environments for the purpose of ensuring proper configuration management and consistency. Work within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Oversee network/computer resources and installation of new equipment. Maintain current knowledge of industry best practices and trends, as well as new developments for the technologies deployed/supported. Interact with client management to answer questions, problems and requests regarding complex system issues. Assist with team member training and continually look for areas of improvement while providing a high level of service delivery and systems administration. Follow ITIL guidelines for Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance. Qualifications: Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer designing, installing, and maintaining Citrix Xenapp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix Storefront, or Citrix Director. Experience in an environment with complex networking solutions with senior level fundamental knowledge in networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP). Experience managing enterprise level Active Directory Structures. Experience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Group Policy implementations.
