Department The Office of Financial Aid Job Summary Performs accounting and/or auditing duties and assists higher levelaccountants with general accounting work to ensure the accuraterecording and reporting of a unit's financial transactions. Mayspecialize in a specific field of accounting such as payroll, cashmanagement, accounts payables/receivables, data control, and/orrelated fields. Job Description Develops, organizes, prepares and updates moderately complexfinancial statements, journals, accounts, ledgers and reports forvarious financial needs within an automated financial system toensure accurate recording and reporting of financialtransactions. Analyzes financial reports, data and records, identifiesdiscrepancies, investigates and recommends solutions asneeded. Develops and maintains automated financial systems,recommending controls to ensure system reliability and dataintegrity. Audits reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, reports,and prepares working papers. Provides budget information and projections based on existingdata and established policies and procedures.
