Summary

Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our Bellevue Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery team in Bellevue, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an integrated care delivery system that prioritizes evidence-based medicine, patient-centered care, and physician collaboration. This position would start in May 2026.


Position Highlights:

This is a multi-disciplinary orthopedic surgery practice involving the full breadth of orthopedic surgery. There is a team spirit of collaboration with an emphasis on continuous learning, education, quality improvement, and standardization of care and best practices. We have a full multi-disciplinary team of orthopedic surgeons, orthopedic surgery physician assistants, and robust support staff, including RNs and MAs.

Core components of this position include:

• Evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic at all points in the care continuum
  • First Assist on laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures
  • Community Hospital Rounding & Inpatient management
  • Consultations in urgent care and ED if needed to amplify efficiencies
  • Shared Call Responsibilities with additional pay earned from overnight and weekend call.
  • No trauma component to this position.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: $168,202 to $197,885 Compensation will be prorated based on FTE. Starting salary for new hires is determined by factors including education, training, and relevant experience. The salary posted includes standing call coverage and is based on an estimated call schedule of 1:8; actual compensation may vary depending on call coverage needs and requirements. Additional compensation is provided for activated call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Required: Certified Physician Assistant
• Preferred: Two years or more of surgical experience
• Preferred: Orthopedic surgery physician assistant experience
• Ability to obtain: Unrestricted Federal DEA
• Ability to obtain: WA State Medical License
